Course Description
This intensive, week-long laboratory course immerses students in experimental and conceptual foundations of modern cell migration research.
This hands-on course introduces state-of-the-art approaches for studying immune cell mtrafficking migration adhesion and interactions with vascular and lymhatic barriers.
Through a combination of in vivo live cell imaging, in vitro live cell imaging under physiological flow and by employing in vivo homing models, chemotaxis, adhesion, binding and transendothelial migration assays participant will focus to study on how cells can navigate tissues and interact with tissue borders.
The course highlights application of immune cell migration and provides practical experience allowing to be transferred to study the migration of cells in general.
By the end of the course, students will have practical experience with state-of-the-art techniques, a deeper understanding of cell migration in health and disease, and the confidence to apply these methods in future research projects.

6-8 students (with waiting list)
Priority will be given to those students who have selected this course in agreement with their mentor, within the framework of the GCB and have listed it as «mandatory requirement» in their Doctoral Agreement
